configuration error - AGP graphics card

I just installed final cut pro 4 and when i click to open it i get a message that reads:

Configuration error
This software requires certain hardware or software which is missing.

- AGP graphics card.

I just bought a new MacBook Pro and installed the software on it. How can my new
laptop be missing an AGP graphics card? (also what is that?).
