Have you tried Shift-deleting the troublesome podcasts in the playlists to see if that ends their troublesome existance?3rd Gen iPod (v 2.3 software); 1st Gen iPod Shuffle (v 1.1.5 software);, Windows XP, SP3; iTunes v 126.96.36.199; Safari v 3.1.1

The "help" section in itunes doesn't even have the word "delete" in it!!!
There is no easy obvious way to delete a podcast.
Does apple want us to have these on hard drives forever????
Apologies for piggybacking on this thread.
Currently Being ModeratedDec 29, 2008 10:09 PM (in response to Nick Lento)You basically need to go to the "Podcasts" section in the source tree, and you should see the podcast listed there. If you click the little triangle that appears next to it, it should expand and show you the individual podcast episodes. From there, you can selectively delete any one of them.Dell Dimension 9150, Windows XP, SP2 iTunes 188.8.131.52
Currently Being ModeratedDec 30, 2008 11:15 AM (in response to Nick Lento)my problem was resolved--somehow my destination folder changed locations and that caused the problem. Now I right click and delete from a playlist and its gone from the playlist and the file gets sent to recycle bin.
