Itunes store is unavailable. Try again later. Error Message

I've been getting this error message on my ATV for two days now. I doubt Itunes would be down for two days plus I can access Itunes from my IMac.

I've restored the factory settings twice on my ATV with no luck.

My ATV can access my Imac and I can get out to YouTube so I know it is connected to the Internet.

When I try to go to movies, tv shows or podcasts I get the error message.

Any ideas?

IMac, Mac OS X (10.5.5), Iphone 8 gig, Apple TV 160 gb software 2.1, Vista Laptop and desktop

Well, you've established you're still connected to the internet.

Therefore the problem is more likely to be at the Store end.

As you say seems unlikely that it's down for so long, but high traffic might be causing it.

I think it'll right itself, but check you or someone hasn't inadvertently changed store location in Settings, and also erboot the device if you haven't done so yet.

Try restarting your router, you may also want to check that your router is giving you access to the itunes store:

If everything still looks as though it should all work, you may want to check your ISP isn't using a proxy server or filtering process.

I updated the software after I restored the orginal settings and now it is working fine again.
