Macbook Pro won't display anything...

Macbook pro turns on. Sounds like it's on.
Pretty much IS on but the display won't show anything (yes i'm sure i don't have the brightness down all the way lol).
I've tried to take a screen cap and it makes the picture taking sound so i can confirm its on.

Any help on what to do?

MBP pre '08, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

It's probably best not to post the same question twice, although I do understand your Mac failure is coming at a particularly bad time for you. Check the link I posted in answer to your other post:

Call Apple with your serial number--they will be able to tell you if you have that NVIDIA chip. Very likely you do. I have a September 2007 MBP and I have it.
