A friend of mine using 10.5.5 and Mail 3.5 has a weird problem. He is unable to drag attachments into an email. When we attempt the icon just bounces out again -- any suggestions ?
Hi mulder, trying to drag photos from the desktop, WMV files from the desktop, PDF files from the desktop etc.
Would dumping the mail plist from the library help ?
Don't really want to do that as it's not my computer and my friend is really not all that confident doing those things. Thanks anyway. I'll keep searching.
If you have the option to always place attachments at the end of the message, and you don't have any text in the message, you cannot attach a file, either by drag and drop or using the button.
Just add a space to the message body and you'll be able to drag the attachment to the message.
Thanks Barney, as I said the computer belongs to a friend of mine. When I wish to attach a file on my computer I simply drag it in without need of a space or text etc, but I will pass your suggestion on to him. Also when we try to use the Attach button and choose a file the same " nothing " happens. It just bounces straight out.
