If nothing else works, you can copy the text and paste it into a new window in an application like TextEdit and print from there. That can be streamlined by selecting the text, then pulling down the application-named menu, rolling down to "Services", then to "TextEdit", then to "New Window Containing Selection".
I'm using a shared printer from a Vista machine across a wireless network on my Mac. If I highlight a specific area of text, how do I print selection? I keep getting full page prints.

In what application(s) do you expect only selected text to print? I'm not familiar with that behavior with Mac OS X. The Mac's Mail application will reply with selected text only, but that's a different behavior.

I don't know if it would work in this instance but it couldn't hurt to try using Grab.
Try Print Selection Service. You can get it from _http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/15601_
Yes - I have installed Print Select but I don't see how to use it. The program I mainly want to print only selections from is Safari, which doesn't have a Service menu.
It's working on my computer. Highlight the selection in Safari. Go to Safari->Services->Print Selection. A new window opens with the content and allows you to print the selection.
Ah! That's where it is at. Yes - it works. Thanks.
