Question

iTunes Store is currently unavailable -ATV

I did a search and found some similar questions, but none of the fixes recommended worked for me.

Here's what I got:

1-iTunes running on my iMac G5 can access iTunes store no problem
2-My ITunes shows my AppleTV in the devices just like it should
3-Apple TV can access internet, YouTube, etc.
4-all of this running on my Airport, which I've reset multiple times.
5-Apple TV has latest software, and has been reset multiple times.

Still I'm getting this message:

"The iTunes Store is unavailable. Please try again later."

Every day, multiple times a day for over a week now. I've tried it at what would seem like non-peak ours, and, like I said, my iMac has no problem pulling up the store.

Any suggestions???

g4 iBook, g5 20 inch iMac, Mac OS X (10.1.x), Airport, Apple TV

I have no idea how to fix your problem, but if you figure it out please put the fix up here b/c I'm having the exact same issue. I've tried all the same things, but to no avail.

same here.
youtube etc work fine
but the store ( movies) says:iTunes Store is currently unavailable

Add me to the list. I'm getting the same non-connectivity, only the settings are right. Correct country, and I logged back out and back in again to the iTunes Store in Settings. No bueno.

Aye. Same exact problem. Can connect to the iTunes store sometimes, but otherwise can't get it to work the vast majority of the time.

Kinda did, but I'll be more specific

-reset Apple TV multiple times
-reset airport extreme multiple times
-updated software on Apple TV

beyond that, I'm looking for suggestions.

Hi,

I've fixed 2 of these. One worked by going back to the factory settings. The other did not. I got it to work by manually entering the iTunes ID & password in the settings of the ATV.

Hi

I'm having the same problem with an ATV purchased 3 months ago. It was working fine and now it is problematic.

I get the Itunes store unavailable message constantly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I hope this product doesn't become another airport express. I've junked several after only 12 months use by our customers.

Add me to the list. Tried resets, logging out and back in again, reentering password, rebooting the machine.

Well, I finally took the plunge and did a "Reset to Factory Settings" on it, and had to reset all of my information. In addition it had to re-sync with my iTunes library, which takes HOURS!!!

But, in the end, I have access to the iTunes store again. So I guess you could say it's fixed for me. Kind of like having to do a lobotomy for a headache, but it is what it is.
