Have once again tried to install 2 Gmail widgets (I have included the links to these in this post, but they were originally provided by kurbis and alan flanary)...However, they are still not functioning.
Anyone using one of these widgets that IS currently working? If so, have you had any of the problems addressed in this post?
At this point, it appears that the these 2 widgets are a thing of the past...and I relied on them.
Will keep trying anyhow, to find a solution.

It worked for a short period of time (some hours).
The widget i'm using is very old (I never uninstalled and reinstalled it). So I suppose it's a GMail problem, the widget is ok. I suppose we have to wait...

All I get is a "signing in" message. I have not yet updated to 10.5.6MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.2), Why can't I login?

Some people might not have been through this problem, but as we can see, major users are suffering this error.
It is nothing to do with your OS type or version, as I've seen many users who have the same problem, even though they all are using different OS and different widgets(or gadgets for Windows Vista )
I guess Google is working on something related with security which is disturbing logging in via atom feed server most of Gmail widgets are using.
This can explain why we can access Gmail using web browser while we can't do with widgets.
Hopefully Google will be concerned to this matter.

I found a post somewhere that slips my mind after doing a google search on the topic. The fix for me and others was to log in to gmail from Safari, after which the widget worked properly again and has ever since. Weird.Macbook Pro 2.53Ghz (Late 2008), Mac OS X (10.5.5)
