PDW-HD1500 Network mode true "connect to server" on mac

Hello,

We want to ingest XDCAM's on the network true the network function of the PDW-HD1500.

We are able to connect directly with a ftp client to the recorder and see all files.. So we could copy files from the disk over the network but than we need to do a transfer with XDCAM transfer on the local machine aswell.. So no speed anymore...

So we try to connect to server (APPLE-K) in finder but we got a error -43...

We used the command: ftp://admin:pdw-hd1500@10.0.0.10

8-core's Mac's and MacBook Pro's, Mac OS X (10.5.5)

to rule out an issue with the video device have you tried login into it with another ftp client?

I am also looking into a command line solution for you.

apparently a unix app called 'fuse' in conjunction with a plug called "curlftpfs" can mount ftp sharepoints to be used like any other drive attached to the computer. I am finding this info from the ubuntu forums however fuse and curlftpfs can easily be compiled to run on a mac using the package management system 'fink'.

also there is the mount_ftp command already built into leopard.

So if one station does the capture, Then in order to push the movs to 4 others i dont see what the issue is.

1 mac retrieves the data from the device via a 3rd party ftp client to that macs local hard drive. The capture software processes the data. this macs turns on file sharing and the 4 others macs can access the movie files over your network from that mac.
