Macbook DTS support?

Hi!

I wonder if there is a DTS support on my macbook. I have connected my macbook with miniplug/toslink cabel to my audio receiver.

If I use my receiver with normal dvd-player and with dts, it switches to dts mode automatically.

When I put DTS on from the discs setup and starts playing, my receiver doesn't switch to dts mode. When I try to change the audio mode from my macbook I see that it hasn't used dts mode at all, just pcm stereo. When I change the audio to DTS I don't hear a thing. Somehow the receiver doesn't get DTS signal from my macbook.

So, does macbook support DTS sound?

My Macbook is the new unibody macbook, 2,4GHz version.
My audio reveiver is Yamaha RX-V357

Make sure the System Preferences Sound Output is set to Digital out. I don't have a handy digital connection so I can't find the correct wording but if you have the toslink cable connected you should see it.

The MacBook should support DTS when using the DVD player.
