Transporting a 24 inch imac

I know this has been discussed before but I was hoping to get it in more detail.
I need to get my 24 inch imac to Germany and I was hoping not to have it mailed by Fedex or UPS etc. since I don't have a solid address in Germany yet.

I was hoping to by a hard plastic case for my mac so I can safely move it often. Is there an options that is less expensive than a pelican case or anything similar. I was looking to spending about 200-300$. Any one have any recommendations or tips? The best one I found was the iMcruzer but it's 575$.

Thanks for the reply a brody

This looks like a good product but then I have to carry it on the plane with me and it cannot be checked since it would still probably get damaged. I would like to avoid having my imac on my lap for an 8 hour flight. I do live it....but not that much. 😉

Was there any other ideas anybody? I can't seem to find a case that would offer sufficient protection for luggage that's under 400$. I might just have to splurge.
