Insert Horizontal Line

Hello All,

I know this question has been asked before, but the threads I've found haven't been overly clear. Microsoft Word is where I've come from, and it was very handy in some ways. One basic tool was to type - several times, and you'd get a horizontal line across the width of the page. Same with = repeatedly, as you would get a thin double-line.

With that said, I do not expect that Pages should follow the same process or keystrokes. What I am searching for, however, is the ability to easily insert a simple thin line that goes all the way horizontally across the page. Currently, my best option is to draw a shape, and that isn't terribly easy since you have to click the left point, right point, back to the original, then level the line. (Insert > Shape > Line does not work as the length is for some reason limited when horizontal.)

Can someone definitively add a "how-to" that is easier than the Insert > Shape > Draw method?

Thanks!
