PS3 bluetooth mic and the iphone

so i've been trying to sync my ps3 bluetooth mic with my iphone to no avail. it just flat out won't detect the mic.

does anyone know whats up with this. i know it works with other phones, does the iphone just somehow not support it?

Iphone supports bluetooth for headsets and handsfree devices/functions only.

My guess is that you mic is not supported.

Have you had success using the official ps3 headset on the mac at all, not just the iphone? I can get mine to connect but after a while the headset turns itself off. It's driving me nuts! I'd like to return it if it doesn't work with the mac..
