I'm not eve sure what adium is. I don't use it, and so I am certain it is not causing the problem. For me, anyway. I think this is an Apple problem. I hope they are working on a solution.

I don't know what happened. Maybe the changing of the new year, but so far everything is back to normal.
I haven't had a problem with any sites.
Even more surprising. Facebook even remembers my login and I don't even have to do that anymore.

    Happy New Year
    See how long it lasts

has there been any response from Apple on this issue? I had the problem for several days and it appears to have fixed itself now (weird because I didn't change anything), but I would like some feedback from Apple...

(was having problems with gmail/facebook/etc, no adium installed, safari 3.2.1 and osx 10.5.6)

    I also didn't change anything.
It just seemed to fix itself.

    Funny but true!

Rats, this makes me feel worse as my problem has most definitely not corrected itself. I am so very frustrated by this issue!

OMG Safari just went unresponsive (it does that a lot these days)and when I restarted it gmail ... just worked.
Our ancestors searched for clues to mysteries in animal intestines. I am understanding that concept a little better these days.

I'm kind of glad I'm not the only one who's being driven crazy by this. I really think it is a cookie-handling problem, as it happens on all kinds of sites, and for me, it started when I installed the update for 10.5.6.

I know it's the holidays and all, but really, why can't we get some kind of answer from Apple?

Just adding my name to the list of affected people. This happens to me often on Gmail, Facebook, Tumblr, etc. Gmail has been good for the last couple of days, but Facebook does it all the time.

seem to have the same problem but with my Yahoo Mail. before and after Safari 10.5.6 - very often - almost everytime, when i'm signing in (after typing in my user id & password), it doesn't go into the mail just keeps landing on the sign-in page. but, when i use my other computer running windows, it works just fine. i tried to reset Safari but didn't work.

Ok, this is not related to facebook(i dont use those),but i had same symptoms, that Safari would periodicly forgot(intraday) my login info/autofill.

Ok, at least for now, Safari remembers my login information.
    What i did was:

    - Exported my bookmarks to safety using File/export...
    - Cleared cache from the menu
    - RESET Safari from the menu.
    - Quit safari
    - Deleted ~/Library/Safari folder
    - Deleted ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
    - Started Safari, reconfigured my favourite settings and imported my bookmarks back.

At least for today, it has remembered my login/autofill informations.
    Lets see how long...

I've been suffering the same issues as posted here and several other posts in support forums with regard to Safari not working with Facebook and other websites. This morning I disabled the "SIP Firewall" on my router and ALL of my previous issues with websites not loading, hanging, freezing, etc... have gone away completely. Now I just need to figure out how to secure my network with the router's firewall disabled.

Hope this helps, or at least points you technical types in the right direction.

I am currently experiencing the same problem.

Well, it temporarily fixed itself, but now I am back to "Bad request" when I attempt to check my gmail account. Very aggravating.
