Live Mail as in a Hotmail account?

If so and this is a free Hotmail account, Microsoft prevents accessing a free Hotmail account with any email client besides a MS email client.

You can access a paid or Hotmail Plus account as an industry standard POP account, but you must pay MS for this privilege.

If your Hotmail account is a paid account, you should be able to get the account settings at MS's website such as the incoming and outgoing mail server settings, etc.

Mike N/A,

To set up your account on the iPhone, your live.com email account would need POP3, IMAP, or Exchange ActiveSync. Microsoft does not enable this support for free, but they will for an additional fee.

With that said, you can still access your email for free from Safari at mail.live.com

Hope this helps,
