Repair permissions & restart your computer. Go to Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility and select your volume and then select Repair Permissions.
If you are still having issues with the System Profiler then follow Niel's advice. Go into the Applications folder & look for the Utilities folder. The System Profiler should be inside the Utilities.
If it is not, use Spotlight to locate & drag the app into the Utilities folder.
If Spotlight is unable to locate, again follow Niel's advise regarding downloading Pacificts.
