I'm a realtor & can't access MLS through Safari...
Hi everyone, I just bought a new macbook (2ghz) and didn't realize that my local MLS system wouldn't work through safari. I can access some of the features of the website but I can't perform searches (fairly important!). By doing a little research online it seems that the website is designed to work with internet explorer. Some websites say that there are ways you can get it to work but then they offer no explanations so I'm not sure if it's just a hoax...the website is www.ntreis.net if that helps anybody. Hopefully someone can offer me a solution! I really don't want to spend a bunch of money on extra software. Thanks in advance!
Thanks, I'm in the process of downloading Firefox to see if it will work. I know it's not the fault of Apple or Safari...it's ridiculous that such an important website is set up so poorly.
You might try a couple other browsers. Try Firefox and Camino and I am sure a couple other fine folks here can turn you on to others.
If those don't work, then probably your best bet is to install WindowsXP using BootCamp and run IE thru it.
It is not Apple or Safari's fault that the MLS software doesn't work.
I've been a realtor for two years and use a macbook pro. Most (probably all) MLS services are slaves to the windows world and require IE, so you are kind of stuck. I use Parallels and XP to access the MLS and it works fine. Everything else I do on the Mac side. I've converted four other realtors to a mac 🙂
Hi, I'm starting to work as a realtor and I also heard that you can run the MLS on a Mac but it doesn't work very well... and I'm not quite sure how to do it. Have you had any luck?
