Rack Mounting Mac Pro

Hi All,

I have a number of Mac Pro computers that will be used in a large Audio/Visual systems installation. I have a couple questions:

- Has anyone ever placed or mounted a Mac Pro into an equipment rack? If so, any advice on a neat and clean way to do it?

- Does anyone know if you can operate a Mac Pro while it is set on its side instead of upright? Are there any issues to be aware of when doing this?

Thanks for any advice you can provide!

Regards,

I don't know if it still matters, but a technician at my usergroup suggested that vertically mounted drives need to be formatted when they are vertical to run more efficiently and have a longer life. You may want to check with the hard drive manufacturer of the Mac Pro if they believe this will make a difference.
