Audio not working on Windows 7

So i installed Bootcamp from the installation disc ofcourse, and i don't get sound. But it works when i use it on Vista, and xp. So what's the Driver name? would Intel have an update on it? I don't know what model # so i can't get sound.
The audio headphone jack has a red light that's on only when i'm on Windows also.

It's not really weird at all. The red lights mean that the computer is outputting digital optical audio to the audio jack. It has the analog audio to the internal speakers turned OFF.

If it were doing this (the red light) in both windose and the Mac side then the problem would almost certainly be a mechanical switch in the jack but since it is only doing it when booted in windose then that cannot be the case.

Hey man, I was having the same issue, but i just downloaded the updated drivers (R2.11) for the Realtek HD Audio controller and it worked wonders! I now have all the hardware working like it should on my macbook.

Just a word of advice tho, unless you're in Taiwan, you don't want to download the file from the Realtek site, cause it's sloooooow.

You might just want to Google "Realtek HD Audio r2.11 drivers" and download it from a rapidshare or something hosted closer to where you are.

Good luck with it!
