Crossfade burning a downloaded CD that has 2-second gaps between tracks.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to burn a CD with gapless stops? Specifically: I downloaded a CD of a concert recording from a friend...he inadvertently burned the disc with 2-second gaps between tracks. Since it's a non-stop concert recording, those cut-off pauses drive me nuts, so I want to re-record the download onto a CD and do crossover fades to eliminate the blanks spots. I know this can be done during playback, but can it be adjusted to this during burning?

please reply to oliasdoug at cox dot net. thanks.
When you select the "Burn Disc" button in iTunes 8, you'll get a "Burn Options" window that will allow you to adjust the gap to "None". This used to be in the iTunes Advanced preferences, but it was too easy to overlook. Now it pops up whenever you attempt to burn a disc.
Note that *Cross Fade* is not the same as
Gapless.
Cross fade will overlap the end of one song with the beginning of the next. Gapless plays until the end of the song then immediately starts the next song.
