Macbook Pro Shadow Around Edge of Windows Early 2008 Model

Hi Everyone -

This may seem as a bit of a silly question, but lately i've been noticing a shadow around the border of windows on my early (August) 2008 MacBook Pro. This is especially noticeable when the brightness is cranked up to the maximum setting and with a background of white. I was wondering if this is normal or it indicates a defective display. FYI the specs on the computer are as follows

2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 15 inch LED Display, 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 RAM, GeForce 8600M GT 256MB video card. The Model of the LCD is 00009C80 with manufacturer 00000610

See the below link for a screenshot -

In the screenshot, notice the foreground of the color LCD properties window over the web page window. Around the border of the color LCD properties window you can see a shadow that seems abnormal to me. Any advice that can be offered would appreciated!

Thanks!

Tony
