In the Security section of Safari 3.2.1's preferences, there is an alert message saying ""Google Safe Browsing Unavailable.". I've tried removing all preferences, cache, and other data files for Safari, but the message persists. Suggestions would be appreciated.
That message isn't going to change until the service is available, and it would appear that Google has disabled it due to the problems it caused with Safari 3.2.x crashing.
I would also suspect the SafeBrowsing.db cache - on a Safari Windows (admittedly PC therefore not Mac) installation had the same problem, which (so far) seems to be resolved by deleting the file and allowing it to rebuild...
Just using Go to Folder in tools menu type /private/var/folders. Inside this folder there must be a few folders called ff, 9a, zz, pv etc. Browse and find com.apple.Safari folder and trash SafeBrowsing.db file. Also you can repair permisions too.
