How do you transfer tracks from napster to iTunes? I need to put my tracks from napster onto my iPod, but only the ones i have purchased are showing up in my itunes library. How do I transfer them, for free? I have the iPod nano chromatic 8gb. Whenever I try to get the tracks (unbought) from the "music" folder on my computer, it says that it was not copied because it cannot be played on my iPod. Please help, it's my first iPod, and I realy don't want to pay around $1,000. So my overall question is: *How do I transfer unbought tracks from napster onto my iPod/iTunes without buying all the tracks?*
It depends what you have from Napster. If you have their MP3s, they will play fine on the iPod. If you have their subscription tracks, they will not play on an iPod.
.mp3 tracks are the ones you bought (paid a sum of money for each individual track or album). Subscription tracks (you pay a monthly fee and can download/listen to as many tracks as you want) will disappear if you cancel your Napster subscription. Your sort of renting them.
Napster has a subscription service that allows listening to an unlimited amount of songs. They are not MP3s, they cannot be burned to CD, and they cannot play on an iPod. Is that what you have?
Napster also sells regular MP3s, which would be fine for an iPod.
On the Napster site, it should be pretty clear which one you have bought.
