I just downloaded the itunes 801 setup. When I double click on it, nothing

I just downloaded itunesSetup 8.02.20. When I double click on it, nothing happens. Running Windows XP on Dell Latitude D800. The hourglass starts then a few seconds later nothing.

This computer once had itunes but it has been removed. The itunes folder exists in Program Files but only contains itunes,resources.

To update --

I cannot get any version of Itunes to load.

And when I run Apple Software Update, it tells me I am current on everything. But itunes does not exist -- not in Program files or in the list of programs.

Found a fix.

Based on reading other posts, I tried to remove other apple products, and for each got a message regarding "Windows Installer" was not working etc.

So downloaded updated version of Windows Installer from MS:

Installed is a Itunes loaded fine
