ipod says go to www.apple.com/support/ipod

Question

ipod says go to www.apple.com/support/ipod

My ipod 30G makes these strange sounds when it turns on and it shows a white screen and tells me to go to www.apple.com/support/ipod and i can't do anything else..How do I solve this??

A bit of a dumb question, but as you didn't mention, did you go to www.apple.com/support/ipod and read the articles provided there for troubleshooting? 🙂

If you did, please mention the things you have tried so folks reading don't suggest things you've already tried.

Yes i did indeed go to the site and look and troubleshooting didnt help me at all..I found nothing about how to fix this..The only thing close required the serial number which i can't get unless I can get onto my Ipod..I failed to write it down..Is there and email address I can use to get more answers from and if anyone can find my serial number it would be great.LOL...

The serial number is usually printed on the back of your iPod. (It is on my 5th generation classic iPod at any rate.)
