I would like to disable the "feature" that automatically opens the install folder when a CD or DVD is inserted into the mac. Is this possible? And is it possible to disable it just for single user accounts rather than system wide? Thanks.

    Hi JMF;

    If you open System Preferences > CDs & DVDs that allows you to change what happens media is inserted in to the optical drive.

    Thanks, but I think that is more for blank discs. I meant retail discs that automatically open a folder with an install program or something. I'd rather the disc just show up on the desktop for younger kids, as not to confuse them or have them try to open the installer.
