How to turn off IR remote control ??

Is there a way to turn off any IR remote control in FrontRow? Just got an Apple TV and every time i use the IR remote for the ATV the iMac goes into FrontRow.

550 Ti Powerbook iMac g5 20 in, Mac OS X (10.4.4)

In the Security System Preferences on the iMac you can check a box to disable the IR receiver.

However, you could also "pair" one remote with each device. (You will need to have two remotes to do this.) Apple has a couple of Knowledge Base articles about this:

Pair an Apple remote with the Apple TV

Pair an Apple remote with your computer
