Upgrading from iPod touch to iPhone?

I've got a bunch of apps I've purchased for my iPod touch. In the coming year, I'll be moving to the USA from Canada and buying an iPhone. Will I be able to use all of my purchased apps on my new iPhone, or do I have to buy them all again? Naturally, I won't be using my touch anymore. I'll be wiping it clean and then giving it to someone.
