Error 2158 when opening smil file

I am trying to open an .smil file but get an error 2158 and Quicktime doesn't open. I am running Vista with QT version 7.5.5. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Well I gave up on getting Quick Time to work, but found that downloading Real player worked just fine. Hope that helps someone else.
