Kodak Camera dock series 3 compatibility

I got a new Kodak camera Z1085 IS and it's dock (series 3) (NOT a printer dock) which I have hooked up to my G4 dual 450. I have the latest version of iPhoto (7.1.5)

When I press the button on the dock to download to iPhoto, I get no response. iPhoto does not launch, and when I open it manually, the camera is not recognized. If I plug the camera in directly with it's USB cable...then it is seen in iPhoto and I'm able to download (except for certain videos...maybe larger than a certain size??--but that's another problem)

So, my guess is that the dock itself is the issue. I have an older Kodak with a series 6000 dock and this works OK (always has).

Thanks TD,

yes, I am able to import the movies by putting the memory card into a reader, then importing, and usually that works. If not, then I just drag the movie file to my desktop, then to iPhoto. Kludgy, but works.

there are no settings on the dock, and I even installed the Kodak Easy
Share software hoping there might be a driver in there...but no luck. I can
find no evidence of drivers for the plain docks on the Kodak site (and they
state that they do not support iPhoto....but their products have always worked)
