iTouch says to connect with iTunes, can't becasue of password.

So I turn on my touch and it says to connect to itunes, which is odd because it is a couple months old and whenever I reset it it says the same thing. But when I try to connect it it can't because of the passcode I set on it. Please Help!

goatsranimals,

OK, so the iPod touch is in recovery mode.

You can try resetting the iPod by holding the Home & Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple logo as described here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305743

If the issue persists, the iPod will need to be restored through iTunes. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305744

i got the same probleme here,

Not really.
Since you found the iPod touch, you never knew the password.
As per your other topic, contact Apple - 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273), with the serial number of the iPod (it's on the back) they can pass on your contact info to the last registered owner.
Oh, and thanks for doing the right thing.
Surely you would want someone to do the same if you were to lose your own iPod, right?

Hi, my iPod Touch was sitting in my iHome and i got it afer it charged. It wasn't off when i put it on the charger. When i pressed the home buton it showed a screen that shows a USB cable connecting to iTunes. When i connected it, it says that Itunes can't connet with my Ipod. Now my iPod keeps showing the apple symbol and is connecting and disonnecting every minute. It's really weird and I just want to use my Itouch again! by he way it's 1st generation. Please help!!

Connect your iPod to your computer, and when it asks for the password, click no. Hold down the home button and the lock button at the same time until the iPod restarts and you see the apple logo. When the apple logo appears, release the lock button and continue to hold down the home button. Then iTunes will recognize the iPod is in recovery mode and will allow you to restore it to default settings, removing the password.

Note : This WILL remove all Applications and Songs, but applications can be re-downloaded for free, but not songs that were bought from iTunes.

iTouch says to connect with iTunes, can't becasue of password.
