So, on my treo I was able to set it so that it would automatically add "1" to every number. I can't figure out how to do that on my iphone so it's being less than helpful for contacts--telling me my number can't go through, when all it lacks is that "1" before the 10 digits.
can anyone help or do I have to go through my address book and manually change every single number?
Lots of places with area code overlays are requiring 11 digit dialing. Do a Google search for "11 digit dialing". Some locations don't require it for cell phones while others do require it. However, 1 + area code + number should work anywhere.
With 2 iPhones, all I've ever entered was the last 10 digits (000-000-0000) and everything has worked fine. You don't give you location. If your question involves international numbers, I can't help you.
Yeah, it's weird. I'm in New York, and it isn't making me do it for every number, but it sure wouldn't let that one go thorugh until i dialed it manually.
