how to turn off completely an ipod nano 4th gen

I want to know how to turn off completely an ipod nano 4th gen I hit the play pause button for several seconds and the screen goes off but its not off, because when you turn on any ipod it should show the apple logo as a startup. Can anyone give me any hints

After holding down the play/pause button, it will turn off after a period of time (or go into low power mode). If you try to turn it on immediately after pressing the button it will just awake from sleep.

Technically it is not off it goes to sleep.

When it goes to sleep it still saves your battery.

I think it is perfectly normal.

It happens sometime to me too that iPod goes crazy. Read the manual - to restart your iPod hold Menu and center button together for 6 seconds. It helped me with 'frozen' iPod as well as with no working games. No electronics is bug free, but my Apple stuff is closest to what I consider a great product.
