How to "time" Time Machine

I have a MacBookPro that is backing up to a TC. It backs up all the time. Often, multiple times a day. Sometimes 50Meg, sometimes 200Meg...whatever.

I have gone into settings for Time Machine as well as the Time Capsule, and can not find how to adjust this. I would like it to be manual. The problem is that I stream music a lot and it will hog bandwidth for anywhere between 2 minutes to 15 minutes. I can stop it in the middle, but it will try again after an hour or so.

Any suggestions??? Thanks!

just go to the TM pane within system preferences and turn TM off. Then you can do a manual backup anytime you feel like doing it.

Smokerz - Well, that was a big "no duh". I should have thought of that, but simple solutions often float by me!

I was thinking that there may be something fancier that would allow for more control of the feature, but maybe I'm expecting too much 🙂 I mean, you can choose how regular ME syncs...you'd a thunk they would have a similar feature for TM.

Thanks!
