PS3 Wireless Internet Connection not working - IP address fails

I've got a PS3 for Christmas and am trying to connect it to the internet wirelessly. I have an airport base station and a G4 imac that's always up. I go through the PS3 "easy" setup with WEP security and all seems well but when it tries to connect I get an error message that it failed to obtain an IP address. The attempt to obtain an IP address timed out.

I saw a post from last year that looked similar but no resolution.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Additional information - when I disable security (make the network open), it works. With WEP encryption enable, it doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Resolved!

I changed the WEP password to 13 characters (based on a hint from another post) and it worked. Don't know why it doesn't like 5 characters but no longer care.

HI
when you say WEP security, on the A express only have WPA and WPA2, are they they same thing. I am having trouble getting the bloody PS3 to connect to wireless too, driving me nuts

WEP and WPA / WPA2 are not the same thing! If you got WPA or WPA2 on your A express you should set the PS3 to use it to.

How long is your password? Try doing as stated above, a longer password.
