Applecare on Refurbished iphone

Could you please tell me the first 3 digits of the serial number of ur refurbished phone. just wana compare mine iphones serial number as i got it exchanged from Apple store.....there are post on web that refurbished phones serial numbers start with 5K. Could you please confirm it....

Since, to the new purchaser, a refurb is the same as a new iPhone and has the same full warranty, it should also be eligible for Applecare. The OP can call Apple to be sure.

Scroll down to apple certified refurbished products and it tells you that you get the full one year warranty and are eligible to purchase an applecare protection plan.

I'm wondering how this turned out for you, since I'm thinking going the refurb route myself.

Could you get AppleCare? Any other unforeseen problems with the deal.

It's supposed to be $30 over my current bill, is that right?

As far as the other posts here:
- I've been looking and haven't seen Apple offer any iPhones in the refurb department.
- The AT&T warranty says 90 days, not the full year another guy posted.
