Is there any setting for automatic shutdown on iPod Touch? I keep forgetting to (manually) shut my iPod down after listening to it and since it doesn´t automaticly shut down after xxx minutes of being idle, the battery drains just staying powered on without me using it. Quite irritating since my old iPod Mini had this feature by default.
Suggestions? Or should I just keep trying to remember to shut it down...? 🙂
Settings > General > Autolock allows you to set the amount of time before it goes back to sleep. If you are playing music, it should continue even though the screen is off - but that might depend on the dock.
Home > Clock > Timer. Under menu item "when timer ends" you can set it to "sleep ipod". You do need to restart the timer though for any next time you want to invoke it.
You don't need to turn it off - just send it too sleep, it uses virtually no battery at all. And there's a handy auto-sleep feature under settings->General.
Hope this helps.
