Speaker with Dock that Works with Nano 4th Generation?

Thanks for answering, but I don't want a clock radio...just speakers and a dock. I have Altec Lansing inMotion IM600 speakers and they sound great, but will not charge my iPod or iPhone. I am having a hard time on the Apple website trying to figure out what will work - when the bottom of the page says a speaker will work with the Nano 4th Generation, sometimes it means it will work with sound and video, but will not charge. How do I tell if a speaker system will charge my iPod?

I would have thought so...if the bottom of the pages says Nano 4th generation, it would both charge and play. I have checked out some of the manufacturer's pages and so far none of them claim to support the 4th generation; they all stop at the 3rd generation. Perhaps they simply have not updated their webpages? And, when I bought my my spekers, I could swear that I saw them on the Apple store list as supporting 4th generation at the bottom. But, maybe not since they are not listed now. I don't want to buy another system that doesn't work. So does anyone out there actually have a 4th generation Nano and a speaker/dock that both plays and charges.

I am looking for a portable - not so much to carry with me, but to move around to different rooms and out in the patio.

I have read that it is not worth the money?!? I am an old fashioned girl and have a big boxy stereo set up for Cd's and records (that is dating myself). So, I am just looking for something in the under $200 range for a quick fix and portability - that has decent sound.
