Airport Express Issues.

Hi there,

I recently bought an Air Port Express to use for streaming music from my Mac. I have an old D-Link wireless router running 802.11b wireless technology ( a bit old now). I'm not sure if there is a problem somewhere as the music from the powered speaker / airport express only works intermittently and at times my ipod touch can't log on....however my wifes laptop appears to work ok on the wireless system??? Is my airport express faulty or do I need a more mdern wireless router??
