dvd to ipod

told that you can't import dvds to ipod. they play/import onto my zune but not ipod. is apple so greedy for money that the only way to get movies is to buy from itunes? there has to be a way. i have tried converting the dvds to folders, files, into windows media player(does not know ipod). i have bought different mp4 converters. now i need to buy a wig since i have pulled out all my hair trying to get movies onto this stupid ipod.

If you are talking about commercial DVDs you have purchased you can convert them and put them on an iPod, just like a Zune, but you have to break the law to do so. And for that reason it cannot be discussed here.

Assuming that you are talking about non-copyrighted material, it is as easy as dragging and dropping the videos into itunes then sync'ing them with the iPod. I watch movies on my iPod and iPhone all the time.
