Hey, I just downloaded iTunes 8 and signed up for MobileMe. Now iTunes won't recognize my phone, it's a 3G. Also in the process I reset the default settings in my keychain and lost all my bookmarks, although I do have 99% of them in my iphone. Can someone tell me how to get my phone back in synch with iTunes. I've done everything on the support page to no avail. As for the bookmarks, any advice would be much appreciated.

    Hello, Welcome to discussions. You state you have tried everything but I am unsure as to what exactly you have done at this time. So forgive me if I am posting articles you already looked at. If you have done these let us know so we can provide other options if we have them available.

    To clarify, I have followed all advice on the iphone support page, such as reinstalling iTunes, changing usb port, restarting iphone etc. I have also managed to delete my bookmarks resetting my default settings in my keychain. If you could help me out it would be much appreciated. I'm going to check the links you posted right now. Thanks!

    I had the same issue. Here's what worked for me:

    Move the iTunes App to the Trash

    Choose Go > Go to Folder.

    Enter /System/Library/Extensions and click Go.

    Locate the file AppleMobileDevice.kext and drag it to the Trash.

    Choose Go > Go to Folder.

    Enter /Library/Receipts/ and click Go.

    Locate the file AppleMobileDeviceSupport.pkg and drag it to the Trash. If prompted, authenticate with the admin password.

    Choose Finder > Empty Trash and restart the computer.
