Buzzing noise when connected via dock, not from headphones

I have a 80 Gb Classic that makes a buzzing sound whenever I connect it through the dock port, I have tried different accessories (speakers, car connections, docks...) and the noise comes from my ipod, I have also checked the same accessories with other ipods and they work fine.

When plugged through the headphones jack it also sounds fine, so it's definitively a port problem, any ideas? Thanks in advance and regards.

I would say you have pinpointed yourself the problem, the dock port.

If the buzz occurs with every tune you play and at every volume/equalizer setting (this is rather banal but better to check 1st) I would send the iPod to service to be checked.

The noise sounds always, even with the volume low or with no song playing, whenever I plug the portable speakers, or the dock into my stereo, the noise appears.

If the buzzing is coming from your speakers for every song, then Tattenbach is right, you've isolated the problem to the dock. Clicking from the hard drive would not be transmitted through your speakers.
