migrate!? headache!?

Why has my computer name changed when I used migrate to move some applications?
I only wanted some applications!
How do I put it back to its original settings?
Computer name has changed to old computers name?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

You can change the Computer's name in the 'Sharing' Pref pane.

Can you also tell me why it has also given the Hard Disk my old User Name, I only noticed when starting up holding down the Option Key?
Can I change this?

I'll be honest - I've never used the migration assistant for moving apps, so I'm not sure if it has gone haywire in some way. I can't think why your hard disk should be renamed to your old user account.

However to answer your question directly ... click on the hard disk name, and then rename it, just like you would any other file.
