Clear RAM?
I'm just wondering if there's a way to clear out the RAM, by way of an AppleScript or some other hidden mechanism.
I know that OS X dynamically adjusts the amount of RAM available to applications, but the way RAM-intensive applications (in my case, Logic Pro) perform after a reboot versus after closing all open apps is different. If I just close all open apps and then start Logic, performance is shaky. I don't have a dedicated machine for Logic, and restarting in order to do a mix after checking email is annoying.
So is there a way to restore RAM to a post-reboot state so that Logic would get access to that kind of available RAM?
