Cannot get into Itunes Store

Since the first day i've had my ipod touch (August) i haven't been able to get into my itunes store to download music. A message always pops up saying that my itunes store has temporarily timed out. I've tried everything from uninstalling and reinstalling my itunes to checking everything in my computer to see if it was my computer that was the problem but it's not..my internet even works. I don't know what else to do because i've been trying for months. I would really appreciate any advice =)
