iPhone "bubble" like screen

I bought iPhone 3G in Jully in Italy. Recently 3 little "things" appeared under the touchscreen glass that looks like bubbles, very similar to this: http://www.crankystudios.com/images/bubbles.png , http://www.phonesreview.co.uk/wp-content/phoneimages/2008/02/iphone-bubble.jpg and http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3097/2737542958_bab1ecee39.jpg?v=0 .

I have warranty and everything but i am from Slovenia and they've told me that warranty isn't applicable here and that i have to take it to the store where i bought it. The only problem is that i bought it when i was on vacations and i bought it in the very south of Italy so its very far to go for a ride to take iPhone there and probably they wouldn't replace it immediately. What should i do?

Thanks for everything,
Miha

You might try calling Apple Support in Italy and see if there's an option to ship it in for replacement. The iPhone warranty does limit service to the country where the iPhone was purchased.

The number for Italy is: (39) 199 120 800
