iPhone "bubble" like screen

I bought iPhone 3G in Jully in Italy. I have warranty and everything but i am from Slovenia and they've told me that warranty isn't applicable here and that i have to take it to the store where i bought it. The only problem is that i bought it when i was on vacations and i bought it in the very south of Italy so its very far to go for a ride to take iPhone there and probably they wouldn't replace it immediately. What should i do?
