Format exFAT

Format exFAT

Right, so the IPod is generally acting up and being slow.

I have tried to " Restore " it, which does nothing.

So i thought i would format it. BUT. the only thing that i can format it with is exFAT. which isn't FAT32.

So i'm jsut wondering, Would it still work if i formatted it with exFAT?

AMD Athlon 64x Duel 6000+, 2GB DDR2 RAM, ASUS M2N-E SLI Motherboard, Windows Vista Ultimate, 8500GT, Other OS, Black Ipod Classic 80GB

This is just a guess, but I doubt it. I think formatting it with a 64 bit file system will not work.

You can try formatting it from the command line by typing the command:
format <drive letter:> /FS:fat32

Thanks very much. Seems to be looking to do the trick.

I think its because im using Windows Vista Ultimate 64x not 32x but I'm not 100% sure.

Anyways, it's formatting now, so fingers crossed, and thankyou again.
