Why won't my iTunes let me burn anything onto a CD anymore?

Until yesterday morning, I had no trouble burning songs onto CDs perfectly, each time.

Since last night however, my iTunes hasnt been letting me burn anymore CDs!! Initially, I tried, exchanging blank CDs, and then swapping songs, etc - but none of that worked.

I've run the Cd/DVD diagnostics, and it gives me a green light for the driver being installed properly, but an orange/yellow light for the following:

- Data or MP3 CD found
- Unable to access audio cd
- Unable to read audio cd

And then gives me the following info:

** CD/DVD Drive Tests **

LowerFilters: PxHelp20 (2.0.0.0), Pfc (2.5.0.204),
UpperFilters: GEARAspiWDM (2.0.7.5),

E: PHILIPS DVD+-RW SDVD8820, Rev AX02
Media in drive is blank.
Get drive speed succeeded.
The drive CDR speeds are: 10 16 20 24.
The drive CDRW speeds are: 10.
The drive DVDR speeds are: 10.
The drive DVDRW speeds are: 10.

Whats wrong with iTunes?? What can I do to fix it, and get it to start burning CDs again??

At the moment when I try burning a CD, it'll run smoothly up until the point when it says "checking playlist" (which is seems to be doing), and then it just stops - nothing happens... I dont even get an error message or anything.

I downloaded all the new updates for iTunes last night, but that didnt help one bit.

I know that it cant be a problem with my burner, because Nero has no trouble at all burning CDs.
