Combo Drive on Macbook 13"

Hi all! Sure this is a stupid post and please forgive me, but on June 2008 I bought a 13" white Macbook, Intel Core Duo, 2.1 Ghz. Only after purchasing it, I've noticed that the optical driver cannot burn DVD. It is a Matshita CD-RW CW-8221 and it reads, but not burn, DVD.
Question: it is possible to replace it with a burning DVD [thought in 3rd millenium writeble DVD optical drivers are the norm, expecially for Apple] and if the answers is yes, which kind of model[s] is [are] suitable for my macbook? I don't wanna buy and use an external optical drive. Thanks for a kind answer and sorry again if a post like mine has already been started, but I didn't find any!
