I'm new at all this so thank you for any help! I'm trying to download audio archives of Vin Scelsa's Idiot's Delight show from WFUV-FM. The download comes through as text, the file has a suffix of asx.asf. I seem to need a Windows Media player, but am not sure which to download. Any ideas? Thank you all in advance.
asx.asf are streaming media.
The "file" you have is only a link to the actual media, which is not downloaded to yoru computer as a file you can move around. It needs an internet connection to listen to be played and cannot be played thru iTunes.
When I click on the link, it says Safari can't find the file because it's been moved. Where should I put this asx.asf "file" so it will play? The WFUV website says I will need WMP to play, but there are a couple listed for Macs and I'm not sure what I need.
Sorry for my ignorance--The WFUV website says PowerPC Macs run WMP for Mac, Intel Macs run Flip4Mac. My "about this Mac" button says I have an Intel Core 2 Duo processor--does this mean I should run the Flip4Mac? Thanks again.
